I first met Shane when I was hosting the “Beauty with the Beasts” gala ball at Jupiters Casino with iconic Hollywood legend, Tippi Hedren, in 2001.  This was promoted as a stage extravaganza to remember and only due to Shane’s involvement did it become such!  His i choreography of the main production was pure magic, and his dedication, professionalism and creativity superlative.

Since then I have used Shane’s services on numerous occasions, including the high profile 25 years in Australia celebrations for WWF (World Wildlife Fund) at Dreamworld, and a personal fundraiser also held at Dreamworld for the Endangered Tiger Trust.  Shane has unfalteringly guaranteed that my guests and members of the public were not only entertained but enthralled and dazzled with hisseemingly boundless energy and imagination.  Shane, along with his company Stage Addiction, is an immeasurable asset to any event.

Matthew - Dance Captain

I first came in contact with Shane Greaves and stage addiction online in 2005. I had just finished dancing at a nightclub on the Gold Coast when Shane approached me and after congratulating me on the show he asked if I would be interested in attending an audition for a permanent dance contact 5 nights a week in one of Brisbane’s most successful clubs. I told him I was interested and he gave me his card and said to contact him during the week to find out more.

After thinking for a few days about weather or not I should call him as I had only met him briefly in a nightclub, I was only 18 years old at the time and was skeptical as I heard there is a lot of dodgy and unprofessional people in this industry, I finally decided I may as well go and if its unprofessional I can always leave. I spoke to him for about 5min on the phone and he gave me all the audition info and said he looked forward to seeing me there.

I arrived at the audition 2 days later not knowing what to expect, there was 5 other dancers there at that audition. The audition lasted around 45min and at the end Shane came up to me and asked how I thought I went. I said “yeah, I felt good and loved the Choreography” he then said he would like to offer me the job. I said yes id love to even though I was still going to continue working full time through the day.

The best decision I ever made going to that audition. We opened the show HEAT at the BEAT in Brisbane and the crowd loved it, every night more and more people came to see the show.

After a few months I decided to leave my job at Movieworld and move to Brisbane, performing for Shane 5 nights a week was unreal, Shane and all the staff at Stage Addictionwhere really friendly and highly qualified, not only was I dancing at the club, but, they where also getting me corporate gigs as well.

The contract, which lasted nearly 2 years, was the best 2 years of my career. The contract was over but that wasn’t the end of my employment with Shane Tyler Greaves, within a week they were already offering me other bookings and contracts on TV and with celebrities across Australia. Not long after, I was even offered a 6 months caberat contract in Singapore..

I am now in my fith year working with Shane  and have had the most amazing experiences and memories. I am now a permanent dance captain and have performed at numerous special events and have had the pleasure of working with many high profile Australian celebrities. These are remarkable opportunities that I wouldn’t of ever had if I hadn’t of made the decision to join Stage Addiction I I have made so many new friends, amazing contacts and learnt so much while expanding my skills in so many different ways! I strongly advise anyone thinking about choosing dance as a career move to do it and send your CV to the stage addiction team.

My tour to Japan was a success, our overseas agency was also professionally run by an Australian who resides in Japan which we found very convenient and easy to converse with....

Rehearsal started back in Oz, we were running behind schedule due to a few last minute casting issues but made up for it for 3 weeks on a daily basis, until we had each routine perfected......definately paid off in the end. Once in Japan we actually rehearsed once - twice a week, just to go over any lead changes and/or difficulties any of us were having.

The Show was welcomed and we had alot of happy customers, due to not having had a dance show like this before. The quality was nothing but the best, the four of us girls worked well as a team, the costumes were designed specifically for each number and we definitely got the response we were all hoping for.

The show was advertised both in the club venue and also on posters and fliers which were handed out. The exposure was new to us, and the venue (as in this particular venue it was they're first International dance team they had recruited) Both the club and the dancers were extremely happy with the result of the show.

I encourage anyone who has a passion to dance and travel to apply, it is life changing and one that I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience.

The Girls rocked and our choreographer, Shane Greaves leaves us speechless. His work is fantastic and he truly has a talent all of us desire, a gift from above to "Dance", Shane u da bomb, keep doing what your doing.........

"Shane is Brilliant! He is absolutly genius! .......

Stage Addiction was responsible for our last three media campaigns. All were huge successes! We aicheived mainstream media in not just Australia but also many countries overseas.

Shane also choreographed our stage show which after its initial launch was invited to appear on several TV programs and special events. Shane's choreography, drive and work ethic cannot be compared to any other choreographer/agent I have worked with.

In March I took a deep breath and made the decision to enter into a dance contract in Japan . I was completely apprehensive and nervous about going, so therefore I had a million questions, I didn't’t want to jump into something like this blind. To me it was a big deal, but the agency that Shane had connected me with answered all of my questions promptly and honestly and at no point were anything but professional.

Once I arrived in Japan I met with the overseas agents straight away, and was immediately put at ease. They then took me to the apartment I was to stay in for the next 3 months. As I expected the living arrangements were smaller than Australian standards, but it was comfortable. I met my flatmates, I began work the next day and so began my 3 months in Japan. One of the most amazing experiences of my life.

In the same year not only did I make it to Japan but previous to that I left Australia on the 31st of December to fly into Malaysia's New year with 7 other dancers for a two week contract. The atmosphere was insane it was my first dance contract with Shane out of the country and I could not have been luckier to visit Malaysia. There were people everywhere and fireworks filled the sky we were so tired after the flight but we were enveloped within the atmosphere of the place. We were in Malaysia's capital Kualar Lumpur. And we could not have been any more excited. We arrived at the club and were blown away at its size and its dazzling appearance. It was like a palace, 3 stories high and the stage, Oh my god It was huge and it was the main focus of the club. We all jumped up onto it immediately. We thought it was amazing then, but once the club was filled full of people no words could explain the way we felt and how privileged we felt to be dancing there.

The next two weeks went by so fast. We saw everything went everywhere and of course we danced harder than ever. The people were so friendly and beautiful and the culture was so incredibly different, I never imagined how different our country was to theirs. It was an experience I will never forget. Thanks to Shane's hard work and dedication to the show 8 aussies made their mark overseas, In one of the most amazing shows i have ever done. I would encourage anyone who was thinking about doing an international tour with Shane to stop thinking about it and just do it. It will change your life and like me you'll come back begging him to send you overseas again. And sure enough I'm back to Japan in 2004 to dance with three other girls and I can't wait.

If given the opportunity don't let it slide by.

Although I never had a problem whilst in Japan or Malaysia I know that if I ever did the agency would have helped me anyway they could. I trust them completely because I know that they have my best interests at hand. And I would never consider returning to Japan through another agency. In my opinion if you ever want to dance overseas you have come to the right place
